| Very important note: it arrives 100% of your financial support to your “foster child”, this means, that the sum of 30 Euro which you transfer every month turns totally towards your child |
In December 2009 Children First has initiated a new “foster child programme for needy children of Bila Tserkva” , Ukraine, which is about 70 kilometers far away of Kiev.
These children, for whom we are looking very urgently for a “mother” or “father” (at distance) have to grow without father. The criterias to be choosen as foster child are:
- the child is orphan or the father is unknown or the mother has divorced
- additionally the child has more than 2 brother and sisters
- the mother is without job or has less than 120 Euro monthly income
- they live in very precarious and poor living conditions.
This programme we manage together with our partner organisation “Bila Tservka Town Public Organisation” which chairwomen is Mrs. Nina Andrijivna Sokolenko (read more under “About us”). With her and her staff we work since 2 years together in an absolute trustful and reliable partnership and we are so much impressed, with how much professionality and transparency Mrs. Nina is managing and controlling the foster child programme in our name. With Mrs. Nina and her organisation we are connected additionally with our programme of medical support for the children in Bila Tservka, who are suffering of heavy chronical deseases (read more on our homepage “Support for medicine for children with cancer in Ukraine”).
All these children who are choosen as foster children are really unlucky and have to face up every day heavy deprivations and difficulties. They suffer a “silence poverty” which is hidden beyond the house walls and there is no hope for each of them that their childhood will improve. Additionally these children have still to absorb an excessive quantity of radioactivity, because Bila Tservka is laying in the radius of contamination due to the disastrous day, when the reactor of Chernobyl exploded.

With your monthly financial support of 30 Euro you offer your “son” or “daughter” the possibility to
- receive a healthy and sufficient nutrition (which unfortenetly these children don’t have)
- to be dressed with acceptable clothes and shoes, which are not damaged
- to have all the necessary materials and accessoires which are needed to attend the school
- in case of sickness to receive the necessary medicine (which the Government often doesn’t offer)
The relationship with your “foster child” will be very personal and familiar, because you and the child can write letters each other. Further you will receive fromus also the informations about the living address of your child, so you can send whenever you want some small gifts or additionally used clothes to your “son” or “daughter”. Later on we will also prove the possibility - if it is requested from the foster parents – if the child can come.
In any case, you will receive twice a year a drawing and a small handwritten letter of your child (if it is older than 9 years) , some actual photos and a written report of its personal and school progress. |
