Children First supports since April 2008 poor children with cancer suffer in the area of Bila Tservka, Ukraine.
The collaboration partner is the organisation “Bila Tservka Town Public Organisation” with its chairwomen Mrs. Nina Andrijivna Sokolenko. For these special vulnerable group of children we finance the medicine, which is sometimes very expensive, but indispensable for a painless and also successful treatment. Unfortenetly the Ukraine Government provides only the “basic” medicine, for this reason many children with cancer suffer remain without the necessary medicine for a proper medical treatment.
Even if 22 years had already passed after the explosion of the nuclear reactor in Chernobyl still serious deseases like cancer and leukemia are increasing and killing children.
A very sad statistical fact is also that in Ukraine the healing rate of children with cancer suffer are less than 40% of the total children who are affected with cancer and leukemia instead in Europe and USA the healing rate overlies more than 70%. In conseguences in Ukraine cancer and leukemia are two of the principal causes for disability and death by children.
We need your precious help to increase the survival of 2000 children yearly who fall sick and who have to spend weeks, months and sometimes years in the oncology or neurosurgery of the pediatric wards in the hospitals.
