Children First organizes and funds health care for children and young people who - due to the poorness of their parents - could not otherwise afford it.

Over the years, Children First Onlus has intervened many times in different countries. Take, for example, Damirjon from Uzbekistan, a boy of only two and a half years who reported severe burns which had turned his left hand into a burnt mass of useless flesh. Thanks to an intervention of plastic surgery at the hospital in Varese, the young boy has been able to regain partial use of the limb.

Another example is little Bianca who, at only 12 months, was helped. She was transported from Romania to Milan, where she received open-heart surgery to address a serious congenital heart problem.
Similar to Bianca, another child, Norbika was flown from Romania to Italy. At only six years old, she underwent a delicate operation on her spinal column at the hospital in Varese.
