GMMWT was founded in 2000 and its Chairperson is Mukhtar Ahmed Awan, born 1981 in Muzaffarabad. He did his Master in International Relation and works beside as lawyer in the judiciary court in Muzaffarabad also on a voluntary basis as head of the organisation “Kashmir Youth Alliance” which defends in particular Human Rights.
GMMWT is a non political and a non profit organisation which gives humanitarian, social and cultural support and empowerment to vulnerable groups of the civil society in Kashmir-Pakistan.
We choose the Trust GMMWT as Implement Partner for our project “Adoption of Distance” because we have been very impressed beside of its big reliability and its positive reputation in Muzaffarabad, also because of its transparency and correctness in their work and at last because of the huge personal efforts of the chairperson Mukhtar and his volunteers to improve the living conditions of the most poorest people in town and in the villages around Muzaffarabad. |
